Please note that this is not a Solidity beginer level talk. We will dive into the deep end of some of the "dumb" things (hindsight is 20-20) that were coded/implemented in smart contracts. These bugs resulted in the loss of 100s of millions of dollars (not a typo) worth of assets being stolen by hackers in real life.
You don't have to be a hacker to make millions though! By learning some of the advanced concepts in smart contract programming and participating in bug bounty programs, you can make millions of dollars (again not a typo) and multiple people have made millions.
On the other side, if you are the creator of the smart contract, you can apply these techniques so that your smart contract (your organization) doesn't lose millions.

Some of Knowns "dumb" bugs in smart contracts
- Poorly exception handling
- Dependency on the order of execution
- Indirect execution of unknown code
- Calculation errors in the output token amount
- Interface naming issues
- We will cover a few more if time permits
